Lee woman guilty of drug charge • JONESVILLE — A Pennington Gap woman pleaded guilty Tuesday in Lee County Circuit Court to a single count of illegal distribution of OxyContin. Sharon Conley, 44, 111 L&N Ave., was arrested in June 1998 and has been free on bond since. Conley did not have a plea agreement, and after she entered the plea Commonwealth’s Attorney Tammy McElyea sought to have Conley’s $10,000 bond revoked until her June 4 sentencing date. McElyea argued that Conley is known to be a distributor of the drug and has served a sentence in Wise County for shoplifting since the charge was placed in Lee County. Judge Birg Sergent overruled the motion and allowed Conley to remain free on bond pending sentencing.
