Wynn Signs With Colts
Former Lee High standout Browning Wynn, who missed a lot of action his senior season at Virginia Tech with a back injury, will also be moving up to the next level. Wynn, a walk-on success story who inspired his teammates in the weight room and on the field at tight end, has signed as a free agent with the Indianapolis Colts. --Kingsport Times Free agents added The Colts followed their eight-player draft by signing 18 college players who were bypassed over the weekend. Agreeing to rookie free-agent contracts were offensive tackle Kurt Vollers (Notre Dame); place-kicker David Collett (Tennessee Tech); quarterback Greg Zolman (Vanderbilt); and linebackers Christian Rodriguez (Texas A&M), Anthony Williams (South Florida) and Todd DeLamielleure (Hofstra). Also signing were defensive tackle Brandon Hicks (Bowling Green); guard Evan Routzahn (Virginia); centers Mike Souza (Northwestern) and Curt McGill (Georgia); tight ends Browning Wynn (Virginia Tech) and Derek Smith (Kentucky); running back Gregg Kellett (Marshall); and wide receivers Chris Lacy (Idaho), Adam Herzing (Cal-Poly), Dougie Allen (Kentucky), Donald Shoals (Tulsa) and John Stone (Wake Forest). --The Indianapolis Star For more about Browning, click here
